August 30th is National Grief Awareness Day. This year we are partnering with monarch meadow carefarm to host a free event for bereaved families and those who care about them at Unity Farm Sanctuary in Sherborn, MA. Join us for a day of remembrance, education, connection, and community. Together, we will honor those who are no longer with us, support grieving families, learn how to better care for bereaved people, and spend time with the animals who call the farm home.
This gathering is completely free and open to all. Join us as we practice yoga, connect and read to the animals, honor and remember loved ones who are no longer here, walk the trails, engage in arts and crafts, and create something meaningful together. Delicious treats will also be available.
For those joining to learn and support, this is an opportunity to hear more about the language of grief, deepen your understanding, and find meaningful ways to show up for those you care about.
We invite you to bring a photo of someone you are remembering. Together, we will create space to honor the people we carry with us.
Monarch Meadow Carefarm’s mission is to nurture the holistic well-being of grieving humans and hurting animals by providing them access to restorative environments and activities. At our carefarm, we foster relationships of support to reduce isolation and provide a source of compassion and companionship.
