The website located at juniesplace.org and the services offered by Junie’s Place (the “Platform”) is operated by Junie's Place, Inc. (hereinafter may be referred to as “us,” “we,” and “our”). Junie's Place, Inc. has created this privacy policy to demonstrate our commitment to the privacy of our visitors and clients. Junie's Place, Inc. is committed to respecting your privacy and recognizing your need for appropriate protection and management of personally identifiable information you share with us (the phrases “personally identifiable information” and “personal information” may mean any information by which you, individually, can be identified, such as your name, address, telephone number, etc.). The purpose of this privacy policy is to inform you when you use our Platform how we use such information.

This Privacy Policy also governs the collection, use, transfer, and processing of your personal information. By using this Platform, you consent to our Privacy Policy set out below. All terms not defined in this document have the meaning ascribed to in the Platform Terms and Conditions of Use located at juniesplace.org. 

Junie's Place, Inc. is a United States Corporation subject to the laws of the United States. The United States may not offer a level of privacy protection as great as that offered in other jurisdictions. Since our servers are located in the United States, your data may be transferred to, stored, or processed in the United States. By using our Platform, you understand and consent to the collection, storage, processing, and transfer of your data to our facilities in the United States and those third parties we share your data with as described in this Policy and our Terms and Conditions of Use.

A Special Notice about Children

Children (under the age of 18) are not eligible to use the Platform unsupervised, and we ask that children do not submit any personal information to us. If you are under the age of 18, you may only use this Platform in conjunction with, and under the supervision of your parents or guardians.

Users Under 13 Years of Age

The Platform is not directed to children under the age of 13.  We do not knowingly collect information, including Personal Information, from children or other individuals who are not legally able to use our Platform and Platform. If we obtain actual knowledge that we have collected Personal Information from a child under the age of 13, we will promptly delete it, unless we are legally obligated to retain such data.  Contact us if you believe that we have mistakenly or unintentionally collected information from a child under the age of 13, by writing to Junie's Place, Inc. at PO Box 191, Chelmsford, MA 01824. By using the Platform, you are representing to us that you are not under the age of 13.

General

In general, you may visit the Platform without telling us who you are or revealing any of your personal information. There are two primary ways Junie's Place, Inc. will collect your personal information:

First, Junie's Place, Inc. may collect information submitted when requesting or downloading one of our publications or videos, sending us an email, telephoning us, or by subscribing to our news feed, including any personal information you submit. Whether or not you choose to provide personal information is entirely up to you.

Second, Junie's Place, Inc. may track the domain address from which you visit the Platform through cookies (see “Cookies” Section below), analyze this data for trends and statistics, and use the information for internal marketing purposes. Junie's Place, Inc. will never sell your information to third parties.

The manner in which we will collect and use your information is set forth below. 

Collection and Use of Personal Information

Junie’s Place values your privacy, it is a non-clinical organization. You understand that Junie’s Place is not a "covered entity" as defined by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and the protections thereof do not apply to your participation in any Platform.

We will collect all the information that you supply to us including personal information and personal messages you submit. The collection of this information enables us to provide you with the assistance, information, and content you have requested.  We only collect Personal Information that is relevant for providing the Platform. We process Personal Information in a way that is compatible with providing the Platform or as otherwise authorized by you. We take reasonable steps to ensure that Personal Information is reliable for its intended use, accurate, complete, and current. 

In furtherance of these objectives, Junie's Place, Inc. may collect the following personal information:

"Personal Information" means information that identifies or could reasonably be linked to you.

We collect the following categories of information when you register, schedule appointments, complete assessments, or contact us regarding the Platform: 

Identifiers: Name, email, address, phone number, date of birth.

Account & Payment: Username, password, credit card number, driver’s license, insurance information.

Health-Related: Medical conditions, medications, mental health assessment responses, health records (as needed for Platform).

Characteristics: Age, race, sex, national origin, marital status, disability status, veteran status.

Appointment-Related: Dates and times of participation in the Platform. 

How Junie’s Place Uses Your Information

Provide Platform: Account management, appointment scheduling, payments, customer support.

Improve Platform: Analytics, research, testing, performance monitoring.

Communicate: Appointment reminders, Terms of Service updates.

Administer: Administrative operations.

Legal/Safety: Comply with laws, prevent fraud, protect rights, enforce terms, respond to legal requests.

Security: Personalize content and user experiences and to maintain the security and integrity of our Platform.

How Junie’s Place Shares Your Information: 

With Healthcare Providers: Only information you authorize with your explicit consent for continuity of care.

With Families/Guardians: Only information you authorize with your explicit consent to designated individuals. 

Legal Authorities: Junie’s Place reserves the right to disclose your information to authorities or emergency services if we have a good-faith belief that disclosure is necessary to: Prevent imminent physical harm to you or others; Report suspected abuse or neglect of a child, elder, or vulnerable adult (pursuant to Massachusetts law); Comply with a valid legal subpoena, court order, or law enforcement request.

Professional Advisors: only relevant information for legal, accounting, or auditing services.

Business Transactions: All information for mergers, acquisitions or bankruptcy proceedings. 

How Junie’s Place Secures Your Information: 

Technical: Encryption (in transit and at rest), secure servers, access controls, intrusion detection, regular security testing.

Administrative: Limited access on a need-to-know basis, employee training, background checks.

Physical: Secure data centers, controlled access, environmental monitoring.

It is your responsibility to use strong passwords, keep credentials confidential, log out on shared devices, and report suspected security issues immediately.

No system is completely secure. Junie’s Place cannot guarantee absolute security. In case of a breach, Junie’s Place will notify affected individuals as required by law. In the unlikely event of a data breach, we will notify affected individuals and regulators as required by law.

Junie’s Place retains Personal Information only as long as necessary for stated purposes or as required by law. Data stored in backups may persist for limited periods until replaced per retention schedules. All data is stored and processed in the United States. Junie’s Place does not transfer data internationally.

Cookies

The Platform may use cookie technology to improve the quality of your experience. A cookie is a small file that contains information sent by a Platform that is saved on your hard disk by your computer's browser. Cookies store information that a Platform may need in order to personalize your experience and gather Platform statistical data. Any time you visit the Platform to browse or to read or download information, cookies may collect and store the name of the domain and host from which you access the Internet (for example, msn.com, google.com, etc.); the Internet protocol (IP) address of the computer you are using; the browser software you use and your operating system; the date and time you access the Platform; and the Internet address of the Platform from which you linked directly to the Platform. We may contract with third parties to maintain and host the Platform. Any information you submit to us, including personal information, may be placed and stored on a computer server maintained by this third-party host.

Junie's Place, Inc. does not provide the technologies used to build this Platform, and therefore, neither recommends nor endorses the same. Any information regarding identified technologies, including their capabilities, limitations, and applications, should be sought directly from their manufacturers. Junie's Place, Inc. hereby disclaims any rights to trademarks, service marks, trade names, logos, copyrights, patents, domain names, or other intellectual property interests of third parties.

Links to Other Material

The Platform may contain links to other Platforms, including but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Venmo, and YouTube. These links and plug-ins are for your convenience. Platforms linked to and from the Platform are not necessarily under the control of Junie's Place, Inc., and Junie's Place, Inc. shall have no responsibility or liability whatsoever for the content or privacy practices of any linked Platforms, or any link or linking program at any time. You should read and understand Junie's Place, Inc. policies with respect to such third-party links, as stated in the Terms and Conditions of the Platform.

Security

The Platform uses commercially reasonable security measures to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control; however, no system is impenetrable.  

We use reasonable and appropriate physical, electronic, and administrative safeguards to protect personal data from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction, taking into account the nature of the Personal Information and risks involved in processing that information.

Privacy Rights Notice to California Residents

The State of California enacted the Shine the Light law (California Civil Code Section 1798.83) that permits users who are California residents to request certain information regarding the disclosure of certain “personal information” during the past year for marketing purposes. Effective Date and Changes

This privacy policy is effective as of May 4, 2026.  Junie's Place, Inc. reserves the right to revise this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our business, the Platform, or applicable laws. The revised Privacy Policy will be effective as of the published effective date.

YOUR CONTINUED USE OF THE WEBSITE FOLLOWING OUR POSTING OF A CHANGE NOTICE WILL CONSTITUTE BINDING ACCEPTANCE OF THOSE CHANGES.
